Do You Dare: The Color Pop

  • _dsc0871

It’s time to let go of those smokey eye pinterest tutorials. S/S 16 RUNWAYS had us drooling over surprising pops of color. This summer, take a page from fashion week and brighten your lids with bold monocromatic looks. To get started, check out my three takes on this season’s hot new trend. Which one is your favorite? Comment below!

Do You Dare is a new ASOR series for the badass babe. In this blogging series, I will uncover the newest, most daring trends in beauty and style. All you have to worry about is how fast you can try them out.

Sushi Flower // MAC Cosmetics

For a super easy, quick look try this major smoke-out. Using a dense brush, concentrate the most color towards your lash line. As you work your way towards your brows, switch to a fluffy round brush to blend that color up. Don’t be afraid to pack in some color under your eyes too!

Turnt Up // Nyx Cosmetics

Crowd-stopper would be a great name for this look. Using an angled brush, draw a line about half an inch above your lash line that extends past your eyes and tapers to a point. Use your angled brush to connect that tapered point to the corner of your eye to create a dramatic cat eye. Fill all of that empty space in by packing the color in with a dense brush. Don’t forget to set it lightly with a loose setting powder.

Dank // Nyx Cosmetics

Swap out your black eyeliner for a beautiful green (or any another bright color) to create this super easy look. Using an angled brush, apply eyeshadow as you would an eyeliner. If your eyeshadow is not opaque, be sure to layer the color on to get as much color deposit as possible. Create a cat eye for a more dramatic effect or simply leave it as is! Don’t forget to line the bottom of your eye as well to frame your eyes in gorgeous, show-stopping color.

You most certainly are brave enough! You could always try a more toned-down version (I like to do things BIG and outrageous:) ). Perhaps a soft pink? Thanks for stopping by ASOR!

Haha that is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me! When I was little, I was mildly obsessed with America’s Next Top Model so I’m pretty sure that’s where that comes from 🙂 Thanks for checkin the post out!
